Where were you in '72?

I was here...

...the first time. 110 years later I (accidentally) joined Dr. Comfort here...

Let's re-live those swollen days!...

POETRY LOSTOCK: POETRY LOSTOCK 2012:
Celebrating 40 years of The Joy of Sex 1972 edition
We invite poems of up to 40 lines, images (artistic recreations of the front cover) and flash fiction of up to 1000 words. The subject is 'The Joy of Sex'. It can be based on the book or on the wonderful subject of the great joy of sex!

...'cause snooping was never so phys. educational. Here's what I remember about The Joy:

Snatches

TV touches downstairs
bouff ladies and daytime sausage men
are all angular, rehearsal, don’t prepare.
What’s the stuff in the loft?

Heaven in asbestos!
Under the glass duvet
soft black lines make silk
talc powder hard to a raspberry icepop.

Suck on beards loose lips the twist,
rub the forearm scratching post
full as a tree trunk. Turn over
turn so much icing shatters.

Cloud up, dust snatch over warm pages
of infinite dark wire forests.
Every spread a new angle, a free star question,
welded, a prick, a sugarpuff cheek.

Heaven of the loft are bad
No! to dry grump channel switchers,
strategic crotch flannels,
figgy trimming, telling.
